Sapporo Short Film Festival kicks off next weekend – great opportunity to catch some nifty international films, to chill with Sapporo’s beatniks, to stuff yourself silly with popcorn and pleasure of a cinematographic sort. This continues to be one of my highlights on the Sapporo Events calendar, and hope that other people have the chance to get take a peek.

Though I know that not everyone will be around for it, the finals presentation occurs on the Monday evening, with the finalists showing in two group sessions. Highly recommended. Follow this link to find out more (English version available): http://www.sapporoshortfest.jp/

English Enkai – Once again promoting the English Enkai, a chance to meet with Sapporo folk, partake in some English drinking games, wine, dine and basically get your groove on. If you’re interested and are free on the 19th of September, please drop me a line at chelle . for . dpm @ gmail . com

Winter Holidays – Now is the best time to let your office know about your winter holiday plans (if you haven’t already). From a scheduling point of view it makes things much easier for them, and gives you a better chance of actually securing the time off without causing waves in the office. Please remember to also send me a copy of your itinerary so that in case of freak mudslide/earthquake/tornado etc. I know who to look for and where.
