I have two VERY exciting parties coming up that I want to tell you about. If you’re going to be in the Sapporo area this Saturday afternoon or Monday night of next week, be sure to hang out with everyone at HAJET as we celebrate the city of Sapporo and the fresh new faces that are joining the exciting Hokkaido English teaching community!

PARTY NUMERO UNO

NAME: Sapporo City Welcome Party
PURPOSE: To celebrate the City of Sapporo and all of the JETs living in and around it.
PLACE: Kirin Beer Garden, Odori Park (7 chome). We will be located on the eastern lawn.
DATE/TIME: Saturday, August 15th from 2 pm – 4 ish

NIJIKAI: TK6 (4 pm – 7 ish)
Minami-2-jo, Nishi-6-chome, 5-3

SANJIKAI: A-LIFE Club (Time is still undecided)

NOTES FROM THE ORGANIZER:
We will be meeting on the east lawn of the Kirin Beer Garden down in Odori Park (7 Chome) at 2:00pm to get a head start on the crowds…just look for the tall beer towers! Light snacks will be provided by HAJET…beers, other bevs, and food will be left to you as you choose to purchase. Come and get to know fellow Sapporo JETS and other Hokkaido JETs as you bond over good conversation and frothy beer towers! Let’s watch the businessmen pass out in the lawns together!!!

PARTY NUMBER TWO

NAME: HAJET’s Sapporo Orientation Welcome Enkai
DATE/TIME: Monday, August 17th at 6:30 pm
PURPOSE: To welcome all of the new JETs who’ve come to Hokkaido and give everyone a chance to get to know one another.
PLACE: Kirin Beer Garden in Nakajima Koen
Minami-10, Nishi-1-chome, 1-60

MENU: 100 minute Chingus Khan Tabe-Nomi Houdai
Vegetarian alternative available for those who don’t eat meat!
COST: 3500 yen for HAJET members or 4000 yen for non-members

NIJIKAI: On Your Own

NOTES: Last year we had over 100 people attend the party and it was a lot of fun. Let’s see if we can top that and have even more fun this year! This party is not only open to HAJET members or people attending Sapporo orientation. Anyone can come! If you are NOT going to be at Sapporo orientation to
register for the enkai, but would like to go and plan on showing up at the beer hall at 6:30, you MUST register with HAJET beforehand.  If you’re a newbie who’s going to be at Sapporo orientation, you don’t need to contact me ahead of time.
