blech.jpgName: Ryan Eason Beaty

Nicknames: Beaty, Boggs, Leroy Brown

Age: 23 (nigh 24)

Hometown: Norman, Oklahoma

Where I live now: Takikawa, Hokkaido, Japan

University/Major: University of Oklahoma; English, Film and Video Studies

Family: Father, Mother, four older sisters, three younger sisters, four nephews, four nieces.

Hobbies: College Sports (primarily football), Rugby, Kendo, music, movies, board games, video games, park golf, piracy, people-watching, procrastination, studying Japanese, listening to what Japanese people say about me, laughing at the aforementioned circumstances, karaoke box, learning J-Pop songs, wrestling students, etc. I find entertainment in most things.

Why JET?: I’ve always been interested in Japan, Japanese Culture, and Japanese History. Part of me really wanted to finally travel outside the US after college; JET allowed me to do just that. And, in addition, writes me a paycheck around the 21st of each month. I also have a slight Napoleon Complex, so, I came here to be tall.

Why the HAJET PC?: I was tired of being the “uncool” guy in Takikawa. Not really, it gives me a chance to reach out a helping hand to first years. To keep the Centralities informed that, while Natto isn’t that bad, you shouldn’t eat it with your fingers, give free hugs, etc.
