School: Undergraduate: I attended Belhaven University and majored in political science and minored in business administration. Graduate: I attended Mississippi College and studied TESOL.

Hobbies: Visiting as many restaurants in Wakkanai as I can. This is quite the full-time pursuit. I also enjoy ballet, blogging, and photography.
Why JET?: I first heard about JET when I was in graduate school. It kept popping up on my radar screen, so I decided that it couldn’t hurt to apply.  It looked like an awesome program and…it is!
Why the HAJET PC?: Like many of my fellow PC members, I was also recruited. I’m really excited to have an opportunity to work on this year’s Newcomers’ Guide. If you have a great idea for an article, let me know!
