There once was a girl from New Zealand,
Who wanted to live in J-land.
She loved snow so much,
She chose Hokkaido as her playland!

Her name was Bryony,
That’s no baloney,
It’s a tad hard to say,
So now she goes by Bry only.

She is from Hastings in the Hawkes Bay,
It’s very hot on a summer’s day,
Hastings is famous for wine and fruit,
Delightful for the tastebuds I say.

She now resides in the South-West,
Her wee town Mori is the best,
The views of Mount Komagatake are amazing,
And she loves Hanami and the Summer Fest!

She studied Japanese at university,
Though much of it disappeared from memory,
When she travelled the world for five years,
So now she she often does study.

She loves shodo, hiking and cycling,
Snowboarding, swimming and camping,
B-ball, sumo and adventure racing, too,
And ofcourse parties and dancing!

Bry really loves her old friends and family,
They are very wonderful you see,
She misses them so much,
But it’s great to be travelling free.

Many of her friends have done JET,
So she knew it to be a safe bet,
She has had many great times,
So joining she does not regret.

Teaching in Japan interesting,
Sometimes it’s also challeging,
Highs and lows come and go,
But HEC is by far the best thing!

She likes the HAJET PC,
It gives our big island community,
So this year she will help, too,
South West Rep is what she shall be.
