Calling all artists, Craftsters and creative types. HEC needs you!
At this years Mid-year ball (Bring on the 80s!) we will be holding the first ever HEC Art/craft silent auction and we need your smart, sassy and wonderful submissions! There is no particular theme and all mediums are welcome.
Seriously!
Can you knit mittens? Crochet touques(or beanies, or wolley hats or whatever they call warm hats where your from)? Do you take pictures? Silkscreen t-shirts? Paint? Make birthday/Christmas cards? Sew bags? Create ceramics? There is no limit to the creativity we need to make this event a success so please submit something!
Please email us at thinkhec@hajet.org if you are keen to participate!
HEC TIP* If you wish to participate in Hokkaido English Challenge but are unsure of where to begin, we suggest you take a peek at last years HEC Essential Guide (the new guide will be rolled out in the next few weeks) and familiarise yourself with the logistics of the Challenge. To garner enthusiasm in your schools, print out previous years tests and show them to JTES and Students alike. Once they see how easy the challenge is and how awesome the prizes are they will be lining up to join! ALL DOCUMENTS MAY BE DOWNLOADED FROM HERE)
The 2009 HAJET (MYC) Winter Ball
Nov 3rd
Hey there everyone!
The HAJET (MYC) Winter Ball has been arranged, although the nijikai is still pending.
Here are the details for the Winter Ball:
- Place: Poseidon, Jasmac Plaza Hotel 6th Floor
- Date: Thursday, Dec. 3rd
- Time: 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm
- Price: 5,000 yen
- Food/Drink: A “light” buffet and all-you-can drink service are included in the ticket price until 10 11 pm. Vegetarian dishes will be included in the buffet.
- Theme: 1980′s Prom.
Last year’s Winter Ball was a lot of fun; Jasmac Plaza did an overall great job, especially with the buffet. I think that this year will be a blast as well, and Poseidon isn’t your typical party venue! So go to the nearest Second Street or Hard Off, and find yourself something rockin’!
Important Note: Please purchase your ticket before-hand, as Jasmac Plaza must know our final numbers before the event. A very limited number of tickets will be available at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you would like to buy a ticket, please e-mail social.coordinator@hajet.org.
