HAJET PC Nominations Have Started!
Dec 3rd
Hello everyone,
I’m Thomas, the HAJET Elections Coordinator for 2009. I’d like to announce that the nomination period for the 2009 HAJET Prefectural Council (PC) Elections has begun. From now until the first week of January (actual date to be announced later), I will be taking nominations for different positions in the HAJET PC. To see the list and explanations of the positions, go to http://www.elections.hajet.org.
Nominations are done via emailing me at hajet.elections @ gmail.com. Please include “HAJET PC Nomination” as the subject of the email. In that email, tell me who you would like to nominate, and for what position(s). You will also need to include the email address of the person you are nominating, because I will be contacting him/her to see if he/she accepts the nomination.
Please make sure that person is re-contracting for the following year!
A person may be nominated for one, some, or all of the positions, but he/she may only accept the nomination for one post. You may also nominate yourself for the position(s).
For detailed information about election procedures, please refer to the HAJET By-laws PDF at the bottom of the HAJET.org About page).
Good luck! Nominations close the first week of January.
Thomas

HAJET Fall Meeting 2008
Oct 15th
The HAJET Fall Meeting: October 31st – November 2nd
Hakodate

This year’s Fall Meeting is in Hakodate! It’ll be a great time to meet JETs from all over the island (some for the first time) as we gather in this Southwestern Hokkaido town. See the amazing night view from Mout Hakodate or have a bowl of the famous Hakodate shio ramen! Come to the HAJET Friday night pajama party, participate in our own Hakodate version of The Amazing Race, and dress as your town mascot in our annual HEC Halloween Costume Fundraiser at the Saturday night enkai.
In the HAJET Meeting, we’ll be voting in a new first year Representative, talking about our upcoming Yuki Matsuri tour, discussing HEC, and appointing an elections coordinator for the upcoming HAJET Prefectural Council Elections!
