Here is the HEC Camp Volunteer Application 2011! Please download the form, fill it out and email the completed copy to heccamp@hajet.org by FRIDAY APRIL 29th. Thank you so much for applying to be a volunteer!

The 2011 HEC Test Preparation Package is now available!

The 2011 HEC Test Preparation Package is now available! It can be found here along with all other relevant 2011 HEC files: 2011 HEC Files
The judging rubric will be available shortly. It will detail exactly what the judges will be looking for in your students’ entries. In the meantime, please refer to the Test Prep Pack for information on this year’s tests.
If you are planning on entering a student in either the junior or senior divisions of HEC this year, please have your registration forms postmarked and entry fees paid by Friday, March 4, 2011. Forms, addresses and payment information can be found in the HEC Guide. There is one exception to the deadline: Registration forms and cash payments can be made to Kyle Jorgensen in person at the HAJET winter meeting in Niseko on Saturday, March 6, 2011. If you would prefer to hand your papers and payments to Kyle in person, please email ahead of time to hec@hajet.org.

MO-VEMBER Fundraiser

Help support HAJET and HEC by joining us this November for MO-VEMBER. There are 2 ways you can help!
- Join the cause and grow a moustache for the month of November
- Sponsor a friend or co-worker to grow a moustache this November
Funds raised will go to HEC (Hokkaido English Challenge) to help in their quest to send more than one the lucky student winner of the Hokkaido English Challenge on a home stay.
Joining fee is ¥500. Funds raised will be collected at the Mid-year Conference
RULES
Each participant must start November 1st with a clean-shaven face.
A photo record of at least one photo per week must be taken. (phots to be run in Polestar)
For the entire month of Mo-vember each participant must grow and groom a moustache according to these rules:
- No beards.
- No goatees (A small complimentary growth under the bottom lip is allowed)
- A photo record must also be kept. (Minimum 1 photo to start and one at the finish). One photo per week is preferable. (some photos will be run in Polestar) Ideally 1 photo taken before you shave. 1 photo clean shaven. 1 photo per week during (3 total) and 1 Final photo.
- A donation record must be kept with the following details: Date, sponsor name, amount promised, amount donated, sponsor initials (when paid).
The 2010 HEC Camp Packet is Now Available!

The 2010 HEC Camp Packet is now available in both English and Japanese! If you’re student was lucky enough to have been invited to camp, please read the Welcome Letter below which will include all the information you need about sending your student to camp. Give them a copy of the Camp Packet and urge them to send in their response forms before the June 21st deadline!
